Last night Mal and I had dinner with my parents and put the final touches on the rehearsal dinner. It looks like there will be about 21 people attending and we'll be serving Old Chicago pizza to the entire group. It will be nice to have our immediate family and closest friends enjoy the food from a place Mallorey and I went on our first date together. We are very thankful for my Mom and Dad to host the rehearsal dinner and also provide the alcohol on Thursday evening. We are looking forward to it and it should be a great time for everyone there.
The day before the wedding looks to be very busy starting around four o'clock in the afternoon. The rehearsal will take place at that time at the chapel and hopefully most, if not all, of the wedding party can make it. It doubt it will take long and directly after that will be a barbecue at our house for Mal's out-of-town family who are coming in for the wedding. Her Dad is going to grill burgers and hot dogs for the party and I will finally have a chance to meet her family from abroad! Hopefully she hasn't told them too many bad things about me ha ha!
Once the barbecue wraps up for the night, we are going to head over to the reception site and set up for Saturday. Its going to make for a long night but it needs to get done. After all, who would want to set up on their wedding day? Who has time for that? With the help of our friends and family the setting should look outstanding and ready to go. Mallorey did a great job with the centerpieces for the tables and I think they'll look great!
Unfortunately for me, Mal is kicking me out of the house on Friday night while she and her family stays at home. I will be staying the night at my sister and brother-in-laws in an attempt to not see Mal until she walks down the aisle on Saturday afternoon. Its going to suck being away from her that long, but in the end, I know it will be well worth the wait.
Hopefully there will be more blogging about the wedding to come, but with 10 days to go all bets are off. If nothing else we will see you at the ceremony!!
