5 question Friday!

My Little Life

1. Would you ever vacation alone?
No. I would get bored. If I was the person I am today but without a husband and baby, I might. But I would want someone to go out to dinner with, shop with, lay out by the pool with and whatever else we wanted to do.

2. Do you go the speed limit?
In the Camry no. In the Explorer yes. But I have definitely cut that down to rarely since we have Kylar.  Randy on the other hand!!! He needs to work on that! He drives fast when he should drive slow and he drives slow when he should go fast.

3. Why did you start blogging/following blogs?
Mainly b/c we live so far away from my family. It is a way for them to read what is going on in our lives without being a daily part of it.
I got hooked on reading blogs when I was on the bump while I was pregnant. The main blog was about this little one pound baby. It broke my heart, but I couldn't stop reading about her.  Here is the blog. Kayleigh's Story
My new blogging obsession is crafts! I have so many crafting blogs bookmarked it is not even funny. There are 20+ links!
4. Where do you shop for yourself?
I have not done much clothes shopping for myself since Kylar was born. But for the most part, when I do, it is Old Navy. I get to kill 3 birds with one stone. I can get clothes for the whole family there. Besides, have you seen some of their clearance prices??

5. What was the song that you danced your first dance with your spouse to at your wedding...or...what song would you like your first dance to be to?
We danced to 3 Doors Down's Your Arms Feel Like Home.

When one door closes, look for that open window!!

Randy finished his last day at Citi on Thursday.  This was very exciting for not only him,  but for Kylar and me as well. Not only does this new job mean a better opportunity for Randy and a job that will make him happier, it also means he gets to be around for more of the evening with us! Therefore, no dinners late at night! We will be normal 6:30 diners! Thank goodness!!

To start off the long weekend, I decided to cave and let Randy bring home Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. I am not a huge fan, but Randy loves them. So, after he left Citi for the last time, he headed straight to the restaurant to get carry out. And we had wings while we watched the typical Thursday night shows. Then ended the night with a champagne toast to celebrate the new start!

We pretty much lounged around Friday and did a whole lot of not a lot. Then Saturday we went to El Caporal for a group dinner to celebrate. Along with family, a few friends came out to celebrate as well. Not much better than a tasty margarita and some Mexican food!! YUM!!

We didn't bring the camera, but here are a few pics from Nick and Shay.

Wordless....Whoops!

I was going to try and do "Wordless Wednesday" every Wednesday. As you can see, that did not happen yesterday. There were some issues uploading what  I wanted to use. But stay tuned! If I don't post it before, it will definitely be on next week's WW.

We bathed the dishes!!

A few week ago, I was doing my wifely duties trying to cook dinner for my husband. Then all of a sudden, the sink started to back up. There was no warning. No slow drainage. No odd items going down the drain. But, for some reason, the sink decided to rebel.
We tried just about everything. We plunged. We "Drano"ed. We took apart pipes. We used a plumbing snake or whatever. We put pipes together and took them apart a few more times. We tried more plunging. And more Drano. But nothing!!! Still a clogged sink!!

Well, in order to cook and eat, you need to use dishes. But, what happens when you do not have a sink do wash you dishes in?
That's easy....

You give your dishes a bath!!!

Now don't think I made Randy do all the dishes alone. He volunteered after I did the first bunch. After what you see on the towel, we decided it was better/easy to run the dishwasher and take buckets full of water outside.

All in all, we decided that giving a baby a bath is much better than giving the dishes a bath. As you can see.....

This picture was just too cute to not share again!!
